Date Posted: June 1, 2012
The Chairperson of the National Chamber of Milling, Mr Billy Oosthuizen, announced May 31 the appointment of Mr Boikanyo Mokgatle as the Executive Director of the National Chamber of Milling effective 1 June 2012.
Mr Mokgatle has been serving as the acting Executive Director of the Chamber since the departure of Mr Jannie de Villiers end of February 2011.
Mr Mokgatle holds an Honours degree in Agricultural Economics and has held various senior positions in both Provincial and National Government departments including Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries as well as Trade and Industry.
He joined the Chamber of Milling as its Protocol and Relationships Executive in August 2006.
Mr Mokgatle recently led the organisation through a very turbulent period of its 75th year Anniversary in 2011 to date and has, with the support of the board and its members, crafted a new strategic direction for the National Chamber of Milling which will see the organisation delivering more succinctly on the specific needs of the milling industry and its varied stakeholders in the future.
The Board and members wish Mr Mokgatle all the success in his new role and look forward to his contribution in re-establishing the Chamber as a vibrant industry body.
