The IAOM is winding down on its district fall meetings.
Summer meetings were held by the Central and Wheat State districts as well as Flour City and the Pacific, Golden West, and Intermountain districts.
Fall meetings began in September with the Western Canadian District in Winnipeg, Manitoba, where, in addition to their technical program, attendees were also treated to a casino night and a banquet that included entertainment from three different cultural groups celebrating their diversity.
A tour of the Canadian International Grains Institute finished off the program.
Next, the Niagara, Wolverine and Ohio Valley joint district meeting was held in Montreal, Quebec.
This meeting featured a live webcast of the technical sessions, with more than 90 IAOM members registered to watch online.
The meeting ended with tours of the Ceresco soya packing plant and the Horizon Milling Flour Mill.
The Southeastern District enjoyed its technical program at Myrtle Beach, S.C. Attendees were entertained in the evening by Pirate's Voyage Dinner Theatre.
Finally, more than 180 milling professionals are at the Southeast Asia District meeting, which is currently underway in Manila, Philippines.
The SEA District meeting included a Food Safety pre-conference workshop followed by a two-day expo and technical conference.
The meeting is closing today with a mill tour of Philippine Foremost Milling Corporation in Manila.
The Latin America and Mideast and Africa Districts will hold their meetings in November and December, respectively.
