Veteran Agricultural Banker Joins AgriCapital

New York, NY (March 15, 2013) -- Mr. Jeffrey Lakner, a veteran agricultural banker, farmer and active member of the cooperative industry has joined AgriCapital Advisors' team of executives and professionals, which provides deep industry knowledge.
Mr. Lakner has over 30 years experience in the agribusiness industry. His experience includes ownership of Lakner Farms, a 4000 acre diversified crop and livestock farm located in east-central South Dakota. Previously, he was employed as a financial officer for the Farm Credit System in Iowa and Nebraska. Mr. Lakner has served as a panelist at many Cooperative conferences, including, National Council of Farmer Cooperatives, Texas Agricultural Cooperative Council, Iowa Institute of Cooperatives and the Northeast US Cooperative Council.
He now serves as the Board Vice-Chair of South Dakota WheatGrowers Association, the largest local agricultural-supply cooperative in the United States. Mr. Lakner also serves on the Land O' Lakes Executive Council, Dakotas America Advisory Council, as well as the South Dakota State University Advisory Committee. He is a past member of the 9th Federal Reserve District (Minneapolis) Advisory Council on Agriculture.
