4B/Braime Senior Technical Materials Handling Engineer James (Jim) Mawson Dies at 89Date Posted: February 16, 2012 James (Jim) Mawson passed away peacefully at Troutbeck Care Home, formerly of Otley, England, aged 89 years, on February 12, 2012. He was a much-loved father of Stephen, Melanie, and Matthew, father-in-law of Stephen, Carol, and the late Sally, a much-respected grandpa of Russell, Carmel, Kate, Sean, Mike, and Jake, and a gentleman friend for many years of Patricia Turner. Jim worked for 4B/Braime for over 30 years, and was the Senior Technical Materials Handling Engineer. He was one of the developing pioneers of 4B USA, travelling extensively in the U.S. as well as worldwide to develop the company's market. His materials handling experience was second to none, and his vast knowledge of handling difficult materials was well recognized by many OEM companies in the U.S. Jim passed on many colorful stories of his travelling experiences, which many of us came to appreciate. Jim was also a very avid and dedicated Rugby fan, enjoying the sport whenever he could. Service will take place at All Saints Parish Church, Otley, on Monday, Feb. 20 at 1 p.m., followed by private interment at Otley Cemetary. Family flowers only, please, but donations in lieu, if so desired, to the Yorkshire Air Ambulance, for which a plate will be available at the service. Grain News
