Baxter Springs, KS & Brantford, ON, Canada--ATEC Steel & the T.F. Warren Group have announced the purchase of Tank & Refinery Services Company, Inc. (TARSCO), effective September 28, 2007, through a joint venture agreement.

TARSCO, located in Santa Fe Springs, CA, just outside of Los Angeles, is active in new tank construction and tank maintenance throughout the West Coast and Puerto Rico.

TARSCO is a family-owned business with a 26 year history.

With close to 90 employees, TARSCO is highly regarded in the industry for their safety record, quality assurance and field construction services offered.

“TARSCO field services are second to none in the industry and it is our intent to add our combined company strengths and network to help them grow their business to the next level,” stated Noel Garrett, president of ATEC Steel.

ATEC Steel, located in Baxter Springs KS, is an industry leader in the design, fabrication and construction of field welded storage tanks.

ATEC services are provided for new construction and repair throughout the U.S., Canada and Mexico. ATEC is also a member of the Tank Connection Affiliate Group, which is recognized as world leaders in dry bulk and liquid storage applications.

The T. F. Warren Group comprises several companies located in Brantford, Ontario, Canada and U.S. locations of Mobile, Alabama, Houston, Texas and Los Angeles, California.

Operations include both shop and field steel preparation, coatings and rubber linings for steel plates, tanks, structural steel, rolls and specialty applications.
