Alendale Inc. Issues Quarterly Hogs and Pigs Estimates

Date Posted: June 26, 2013

We did scale back on our pigs per litter expectations. Adjustments were made for the past six months of numbers as well as the next quarter forward. Certainly part of that was due to PED.

However, I continue to argue that some of this shortfall in production comes from hogs bred in the later part of last summer's heat.

We are about finished with those numbers so in my mind should start seeing slaughters from PED-only impacts soon.
