American Feed Industry Association Appoints Anne Keller Director of Communications

Arlington, VAThe American Feed Industry Association (AFIA) is pleased to announce that Anne Keller will be joining the staff effective June 9, 2008, as Director, Communications.
Anne has gained knowledge and experience on agricultural issues in her previous positions, most recently serving as Director, Issues Management and News Services for the American Farm Bureau Federation.
Prior to that position, she spent five years on Capitol Hill as the Press and Communications Director for Congressman Charlie Stenholm of Texas, and was the Senior Legislative Assistant focused on agricultural issues for Congressman Baron Hill of Indiana.
Her experience in communications also includes news coverage of Washington politics as a freelance researcher and field producer for CNN.
In addition, she has done research, writing and editing of materials about candidates, elected officials and campaigns for National Journal Group publications.
As AFIA’s Director, Communications, Anne will be in charge of the association’s publications, press announcements, media relations and creating awareness of the feed industry’s contributions to food safety, nutrition, and consumer confidence.
Anne remains actively involved in farming with her mother in southern Indiana. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from DePauw University.
