Bachelor Controls Receives Control System Integrators Association Award

Date Posted: June 12, 2008

Sabetha, KN—Bachelor Controls, Inc. (BCI) and President Ray Bachelor were honored at the 15th Annual Control System Integrators Association (CSIA) Executive Conference, held in Savannah, Georgia in early May.

Ray Bachelor was recognized by CSIA as the winner of its 2008 "Remember Me" Memorial Award.

The honor memorializes Charles Bergman, considered the driving force behind the establishment of CSIA in 1993.

The award was presented to Bachelor by the award's first winner, Tom Wilson, founder of PCS UtiliData, who received the award in 2001.

Bachelor received the award for his "ongoing, proactive participation in CSIA activities; his invaluable support of fellow members; and his commitment to the association's goals—traits that are the personification of our founder," said Wilson.

Bachelor served as CSIA Chairman in 2005-2007 and, before that, on the CSIA Executive Council.

Bachelor Controls, Inc. was also one of 21 long-term CSIA companies honored for its commitment to the organization.

Companies that attended the association's first executive conference in 1994 were presented a set of crystal glassware to commemorate the 15th anniversary of that initial gathering.

"These 21 honored companies not only laid a 'rock-solid' foundation for the association," said Norman O'Leary, executive director of CSIA. "They have continued to nurture it by providing the direction, vision, and support that have enabled us to grow in size, stature, and influence."

BCI is a CSIA Certified Member, earning the distinction in 2000 and successfully renewing its certification twice by completing CSIA's landmark Certified Member audit every three years.

The Certified Member program provides an industry-specific means for end users to identify areas of importance and minimize the uncertainties in selecting a system integrator, while also offering a framework for integrators to evaluate and continuously improve their own businesses.
