Date Posted: January 22, 2013
CCS Group, Seward, NE, reports that it had no loss work days in 2012.
According to President Cheyenne Wohlford, the company is emphasizing training as part of its ongoing efforts to improve safety on CCS jobsites.
"Currently, all crew supervisors are trained in OSHA 10-hour for construction," he explains.
"All employees will be 10-hour trained in February," he adds.
According to Wohlford:
• Other employee safety training includes confined space, fall protection, as well as how to address workplace hazards.
• Each crew undergoes a site specific training for each new project in order to limit new exposures.
• Daily site inspection are conducted by all employees for fall protection, scaffolding (both suspended and supported), and job site cleanliness to reduce workplace hazards.
"Safety is a top priority at CCS," says Wohlford, "and we will work hard to continue this pattern of excellence in 2013."
