CTEC Concrete Technologies and Moeller Engineering Merge

Date Posted: February 3, 2012

Greg Wurst, president of CTEC Concrete Technologies, York, NE (800-345-2832), announced in mid-January that the 20-year-old concrete restoration company had merged with Moeller Engineering, a Des Moines, IA-based engineering and construction services company.

The name of the new organization will be CTEC AG Holding Company. According to Wurst, the new company will combine CTEC’s concrete repair services with Moeller’s engineering services to provide both services under one umbrella.

“It is all about the customer, for whom we want to provide a greater level of service, and that is why we are bringing the construction and engineering services under one umbrella,” said Art Moeller who started Moeller Engineering in 2010.

“Most construction projects now are requiring both construction and engineering services,” said Moeller (515-963-8332).

Wurst added, “That means customers are excited about not having to try to find individual companies to provide the services.

“There has been a demand for a higher level of professional services in the last several years,” Wurst said, “with each project requiring more drawings, more assessments, and more quality control from engineering.”

Moeller will become COO for the group’s construction-related services, which will include engineering, silo construction/repair, refractory, and waterproofing/coatings.

He will remain based in the Des Moines area.

The linkage will provide nationwide services for concrete construction repair, and engineering design services for grain, feed, fertilizer, and renewable fuels, along with inspection services.
