Cargill VICTORY Canola Ranks #1 in Returns in Performance TrialsDate Posted: January 10, 2012 Winnipeg, MB—Cargill announced Jan. 9 that Canola Performance Trials 2011- grower driven trials coordinated by the Canola Council of Canada- demonstrate that VICTORY® Canola is the one hybrid customers can count on for higher returns and yields. The trials, which included dozens of the most prominent canola hybrids, showed that VICTORY® Canola hybrids finished near the top in virtually every category- including the critical performance metrics of gross revenue and yield. Overall, the new VICTORY® V12-1 Hybrid Canola was ranked #1 in gross revenue- outperforming the second-ranked canola by more than $20/acre. VICTORY® V12-1 and v1040 ranked #1 and #2 in gross revenue in the Roundup Ready® category. “With all of its program benefits- high yield results, premium pricing options and a risk-free hedge- VICTORY® is what we recommend to our customers as their #1 hybrid choice for performance, high returns and peace of mind,” said Rick Wiebe, Cargill Specialty Canola’s Marketing Manager. As anticipated by Cargill, VICTORY® V12-1 was the highest yielding Roundup Ready® hybrid in the trials. VICTORY® v1040 also finished among the leaders in yield.
