Duane "Butch" Fischer to Retire as President and CEO at J.D. Heiskell; Ryan Pellett to Succeed

Tulare, CA—J.D. Heiskell & Co. (JDHCo), a leading grain, commodity trading and livestock feed manufacturing enterprise, has announced its President and CEO, Duane “Butch” Fischer, will be retiring November 30, 2012.

JDHCo Chairman of the Board, Scot Hillman, states, “This company has benefitted tremendously from the visionary leadership of Butch Fischer and from his selfless dedication to its health and sustainability.

"The obvious link between his term of stewardship and the upward arc of our corporate trajectory is not coincidental.

"He had an indelible impact on the lives of everyone at this company and his legend will endure hear for a long, tong time.”

Fischer joined the firm in August of 2001 and was the leading architect of its transformation from a small regional enterprise into a business with coast-to-coast presence.

Following his retirement, Fischer will continue to serve JDHCo in a consulting role.

He was elected to its Board of Directors in June, and will serve as an Outside Director.

Replacing Fischer will be Ryan Pellett.

Pellett has been with JDHCo since June 2000, most recently as its Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer.

Based in the company’s Elkhorn Neb. office, where he will remain, Pellett will become President and CEO effective December 1, 2012.
