Go Green Home Stores Test Home Biodiesel Production Unit to Ease Customers Fuel WoesDate Posted: August 7, 2008 Santa Monica, CA— California-based Go Green Home Stores is ardently pursuing alternatives to get affordable alternatives to gas to consumers, as they continue to struggle with prices at the pump. The company has already begun researching the latest technology in biodiesel and is in the midst of creating a system, so that one can produce their own biodiesel fuel from their very own home. Go Green Home Stores' CEO Brian Sullivan painted a rosy picture by suggesting consumers "imagine never again relying on overseas oil companies, never again paying high ridiculous gas prices or sales tax on your fuel needs, and saving the environment at the same time. All of these things are possible with the new inventions and breakthroughs in biodiesel fuel." Diesel fuel made from a common waste product - used cooking oil - offers endless benefits. Biodiesel fuel is "that old grease you never know what to do with - now you do," added Sullivan. Sullivan offers a more technical definition - a fuel composed of mono-alkyl esters of long chain fatty acids derived from vegetable oils or animal fats, designated B100, and meeting the requirements of ASTM (American Society for Testing & Materials) D 6751, National Biodiesel Board. According to Sullivan, the reason biodiesel fuel is better for the environment than fossil-fuel diesel is because it burns cleaner. "When biodiesel fuel is put into a diesel engine instead of petroleum diesel, it reduces greenhouse gasses, carcinogens, toxins, soot, hydrocarbons and sulfur," he said. "Biodiesel fuel can crank up any diesel engine and make it run exactly like it does with fossil-fuel, only cleaner." Many know that biodiesel is an alternative form of gas and safer for the environmen, but still may have their doubts, wondering if it is safe for their engines. According to the LA Biodiesel Coop, biodiesel that meets ASTM spec 6751 is better for engines than petroleum diesel because it has higher lubricity and runs cleaner. "The diesel engine is one of the great feats of engineering, and was originally designed to run on vegetable oil," added Sullivan "It wasn't until later that the petroleum industry created its own fuel to run on (and subvert the idealist origins of) the diesel engine." Those who don't want to fool with any machinery or just dont want it in their backyards may still be able to reap the benefits by purchasing certified ASTM spec biodiesel fuel from Go Green Home Stores by visiting a local stores or by logging on to its e-commerce Web site. Go Green Home Stores is working diligently to have testing completed by the end of August, 2008. "We expect to be at the forefront of alternative energy production and delivery systems for our customers. We're very excited at the aspect of this production technique as well as many others were currently pursuing," concluded Sullivan. "If the product is as safe and effective as expected, it will be available both in Go Green Home Stores and on the company's Web site for purchase by mid-September, 2008.
