Harold Reese Grain Handling Operations Scholarship
Minneapolis, MN--The Grain Elevator and Processing Society (GEAPS) is accepting scholarship applications from persons interested in the study of grain handling operations for career purposes.
The Harold Reese Memorial Scholarship will offer scholarships to selected applicants pursuing post-secondary programs in grain-handling operations.
Both GEAPS members and non-members are welcome to apply. Reese, who worked for 25 years at Bunge Corp., was GEAPS president in 1995-96.
In 1998, he was named a �Member of Distinction,� GEAPS� highest honor for regular members.
The scholarships will be paid directly to the institution, which must be accredited by the U.S. Department of Education.
The money will go toward tuition and books only.
Application Deadline
Applications for the scholarship this year are due at the GEAPS office by May 1.
GEAPS� executive committee will review the applications and award scholarships based on qualifications.
Candidates will be asked to describe why they are interested in pursuing a grain handling/operations career and what their professional goals are.
