Date Posted: July 26, 2007

Aylmer, ON--IGPC Ethanol Inc. announced today it has signed an exclusive agreement with Cargill for its corn origination services -supporting its commitment to open a 150 million-litre ethanol plant in Aylmer's municipally-owned industrial park in the second half of 2008.

"We selected Cargill for their well recognized knowledge and expertise in sourcing the large steady supply of corn needed for our ethanol operation," noted Tom Cox, Chairman, IGPC Ethanol Inc.

"Cargill's many locations within close proximity to the plant and network of experienced professionals make it the natural choice for us."

IGPC's ethanol plant is expected to utilize 15 million bushels of corn annually, representing about seven per cent of Ontario's average annual corn production.

The ethanol facility's corn requirements will be supplied directly by farmers, country elevators and the Cargill Great Lakes and Lakeview Farm Service Groups.

"This is an exciting development for the community of Aylmer and we are thrilled to be participating by providing our distinctive services." said Len Penner, President, Cargill Limited.

"Our role is to supply over 350,000 MT of corn each year, which will go a long way toward meeting our mission of 'helping growers prosper'.

We look forward to fulfilling our commitment to serving the growers and creating enhanced value added solutions for IGPC and the rural community."

IGPC Ethanol Inc is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Integrated Grain Processors Co-operative Inc.

The Co-operative was formed by a group of Southwestern Ontario corn producers for the purpose of developing an ethanol plant which would add value to local producers' corn and create jobs and economic growth in Southwestern Ontario.

The new operation will be designed to use 15 million bushels of corn annually to produce 150 million litres of fuel-grade ethanol, 120,000 tonnes of Dried Distillers Grains with Solubles(DDGS) and approximately 90,000 tonnes of marketable CO(2).

Cargill, which operates grain handling and crop input facilities across Ontario and the Prairies, works in partnership with producers to develop grain-marketing solutions.

Headquartered in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Cargill Limited employs over 10,000 people across Canada and has business interests in meat, egg and oilseed processing, animal feed, salt, chocolate, natural gas, crop inputs, as well as grain handling, merchandising and milling.
