IGP Institute Annual Feed Manufacturing Course ... Sept. 29-Oct. 2 ... Manhattan, KS

Manhattan, KS—The IGP Institute educates feed manufacturing professionals from around the world on how to apply classroom expertise back to their businesses.

Continuing with that purpose, the IGP Institute is offering a feed manufacturing course on Sept. 29-Oct. 2, 2014, for professionals interested in expanding their knowledge of the feed industry.

The course will be most beneficial to mill owners, managers, supervisors, merchandisers, equipment manufacturers, and maintenance personnel and managers of livestock, poultry and agriculture facilities.

“Participants come to this course to learn the new trends in feed manufacturing and to strengthen their knowledge on the important concepts that make the feed production process more efficient,” says Carlos Campabadal, course coordinator and IGP Institute’s feed manufacturing and grain quality specialist.

This four-day course will focus on grain storage, particle size reduction, extrusion, animal nutrition, pelleting, cost control and advances in feed technology.

The course will also include hands-on workshops at the O.H. Kruse Feed Technology Center and a tour of Kansas State University’s dairy facilities.

Former course participant, Franco Mussini, Technical Service Manager from Evonik Degussa was able to apply what he learned at the course into his daily tasks at work.

“I am better able to understand the manufacturing process and what I need to pay attention to in order to make a safer and healthy product,” Mussini says.
