Interstates Companies Named Contractor of the Year by Associated Builders and Contractors

Sioux Center, IA—Interstates Companies has been named national contractor of the year by Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC), one of the largest American trade groups.

The award, which recognizes overall excellence and commitment to safety, was presented on February 11, 2014 to Interstates Companies Chairman and CEO Larry Den Herder.

“I am both humbled and honored to accept the Contractor of the Year award for Interstates Companies,” says Den Herder.

“This represents hard work and dedication from each team member who has performed work bearing the Interstates name. I can’t wait to see where our team goes from here.”

Marking their 60th year of business in 2013, Interstates began as a small electrical company in 1953 that was founded on the core values of dependability, integrity, trust, quality and family.
