James L. Adams Named CEO of Wenger's Feed Mill Inc; Geoff Finch Named Vice President and COO

Rheems, PA -- James L. Adams was named chief executive officer of Wenger’s Feed Mill, Inc. by the board of directors.

Adams will retain his title of president.

In addition, Geoff Finch was named vice president and chief operating officer.

As part of Finch’s new position, he will assume full responsibility for the operational functions, milling, and transportation at the company.

Adams holds a bachelor's degree in poultry technology and management from Penn State University and an master's degree, also from Penn State.

He was hired in June 1980 to develop a feed and poultry health quality assurance laboratory and later worked in feed formulation and managed Wenger’s service department.

Adams was named chief operating officer in June 1999 and vice president in July 2000.

He was promoted to president in September 2004.

Besides Adams’ extensive experience with the company, his respect and involvement within the industry will be an asset in his new position.

Adams served as chairman of the board of the Pennsylvania Poultry Federation, chairman of the Poultry Health Committee, chairman of PennAg’s Poultry Council, and served two terms as President of PennAg Industries Association.

Adams currently serves on the board of the Lancaster Chamber of Commerce and Industry and is a member of the Chamber’s Ag Committee and Advocacy Council.

He also serves on the board of the U.S. Poultry & Egg Association and is an alternate member for the American Egg Board.

Barry Shaw, former CEO, will remain as chairman of the board.

The executive committee of Wenger’s Feed Mill, Inc, will be comprised of Shaw; Adams; Finch; Jamie Rowley, chief administrative officer; and J. Michael Lutz, chief financial officer.
