MABA Recognizes Outstanding Members

Lansing—The Michigan Agri-Business Association handed out special awards during its annual winter conference this past week.
Syngenta was named MABA’s Outstanding Manufacturer/Supplier, and Mike McCrackin of Harvey Milling in Carson City was honored as its Outstanding Member.
Syngenta has been one of MABA’s strongest corporate partners, and was one of the first supporters of MABA’s Leadership Program.
The company strongly encourages the Association’s activities at state and federal levels, and Syngenta team members are engaged in virtually every activity that MABA sponsors.
“Syngenta has taken a leading role in helping the agriculture industry grow, develop leaders and handle tough issues,” said Jim Byrum, president of MABA.
“Syngenta is always willing to help support MABA with new and exciting ideas, and we are pleased to honor the company as our 2012 Outstanding Manufacturer/Supplier.”
McCrackin was the recipient of the Outstanding MABA Member Award for his efforts to help build MABA membership, expand programming and challenging to Association to “step up to the next level.”
He is the owner and CEO of Harvey Milling Company, and a past member and Chairman of MABA’s board of directors.
“Mike never hesitates to raise the next challenge, look at the next opportunity or invest in the newest technology,” said Byrum.
“He has helped broaden MABA’s membership, increase our visibility and helped member businesses grow.
"It is an honor to present this award to Mike on behalf of the Michigan Agri-Business Association.”
