MGEX Sets Records For 3rd Consecutive Day

Minneapolis, MN—MGEX, a Designated Contract Market (DCM) and Derivatives Clearing Organization (DCO), reports both a top 20 record in exchange volume and a top 10 record in electronic volume from Friday’s (June 20) activity.
Total volume was the 17th-best ever, finishing the day at 16,855. Electronic volume came in at No. 10 all-time with 15,340 contracts traded.
Total volume for June currently stands at 155,510 with six trade days remaining in the month.
The record for June monthly exchange volume is 215,581, set in 2011.
After Friday’s trade activity, electronic volume for June 2014 ranks 20th all-time at 132,504.
Open interest after Friday’s trade date came in at 76,210 open contracts.
