Oklahoma Agribusiness Retailers Assn. Elects Greg Birdwell Board ChairmanDate Posted: December 7, 2011 Greg Birdwell, WinField Solutions, Clinton was elected Chairman of the Board of the Oklahoma Agribusiness Retailers Assn. at the recent annual meeting. Greg is a native of Elk City, OK and a proud 1985 graduate of Elk City High School. Upon graduation, Greg attended Oklahoma State University in Stillwater. In the summer of 1988, Greg got his first experience in the Crop Protection business with an internship with CIBA-Geigy Corporation (Syngenta today). Greg graduated from OSU with a degree in Ag Economics in May 1989 and accepted a full-time position with CIBA-Geigy. He spent two years working for CIBA-Geigy working the fungicide market in South Texas on rice and eventually the North Texas wheat market when Amber was introduced. In January 1992, Greg went to work for Estes Inc in Oklahoma City as an inside ag salesperson. In August of that year, Estes opened a new location in Clinton, and he transferred back “home”. Greg spent 19 years working for Estes as Ag Sales, Branch Manager, and SW Sales Manager. In October 2010, Estes was purchased by Winfield Solutions, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Land O'Lakes. Greg currently serves Winfield Solutions as a Business Manager, responsible for the same Southwest Oklahoma area and customers that he has known for 20 years now. When not at work, Greg loves to spend time with his wife Debi and son Brady. You might find them either at the lake or a NASCAR track near you!
