Pennsylvania Ag Secretary Wolff to Attend Groundbreaking Ceremony for $2.2 Million Mercer County Biogas Energy Anaerobic Digester in Fredonia, PADate Posted: October 11, 2007 Agriculture Secretary Dennis Wolff will join local and state officials at 4 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 11, at the Fairview Swiss Cheese Plant, 1734 Perry Highway, in Fredonia, for a groundbreaking ceremony. Plant owner, John Koller & Son Inc., is constructing a $2.2 million anaerobic digester that will use cheese whey from the plant and cone batter from the Joy Cone Co. to make 40 million cubic feet of biogas annually - the equivalent of 28 million cubic feet of natural gas - to power the cheese making process.
