TULSA, OK—The Petroleum Equipment Institute (PEI) has announced April 3 that online registration is now open for its upcoming PEI Convention at the NACS Show 2008, the industry's largest event.

The convention has been scheduled for Oct. 5-7, at the McCormick Place in Chicago, IL.

Attendees can register and secure housing online.

"This year's PEI convention is shaping up to be one of our best ever," said Bob Renkes, PEI executive vice president.

"The 2007 event in Atlanta drew 15% more attendance by PEI members and registrants over 2006 and we certainly plan on additional quality growth for the upcoming show in Chicago," Renkes continued.

"In addition, we strongly encourage everyone to plan ahead for this event and secure housing as early as possible for this Chicago-based show."

Full registration includes admission to all educational sessions, expo for all three days, the NACS Welcome Reception and the PEI reception, and is $275 for PEI members and $425 for all other attendees.

These "early bird" rates are good through Aug. 15.

Additional rates for one-day registration or expo-only registration are also available.

The PEI headquarters hotel will be located at the Hyatt Regency Chicago (negotiated rates are $229 for single occupancy).
