Three online courses from the GEAPS/Kansas State University Distance Education Program open Sept. 19, including new courses on facilities planning and dust explosions.
GEAPS 510: Grain Facilities Planning and Design I is a brand new course designed for anyone undertaking a grain facility construction project.
From determining your storage structure type to designing your facility layout, you will get the tools you need for success.
This course counts towards your Credential in Grain Operations Management (CGOM).
Grain dust hazards are a big industry concern, and GEAPS 544: Preventing Grain Dust Explosions provides information essential to minimizing your risk. Topics include the causes of grain dust explosions, measures to prevent them and their potentially disastrous consequences.
Designed to meet the industry’s current staffing challenges, GEAPS 580: Hiring and Retaining Good Employees in the Grain Industry is the ideal course for facility managers wishing to learn more about human resources and for small companies without HR departments seeking to improve their recruiting, hiring and retention efforts.
