Ten Local Kansas Cooperatives Join Forces to Create Grain Marketing CompanyDate Posted: June 10, 2008 Co-Mark Inc., Cheney, KS has announced the formation of a new grain marketing venture, initiated by a group of area farmer-owned cooperatives, that focuses on strengthening the value of Kansas and northern Oklahoma-grown grain through innovative marketing efforts. Co-Mark Grain Marketing LLC (CGM) is comprised of 10 local cooperatives. They are: * Anthony Farmers Cooperative Association, Anthony, KS. * Cairo Cooperative Equity Exchange, Cairo, KS. * CCGP Inc., Wichita, KS. * Danville Cooperative Association, Danville, KS. * Farmers Cooperative Grain Association, Caldwell, KS. * Farmers Cooperative Grain Association, Conway Springs, KS. * Farmers Cooperative Elevator Association, Garden Plain, KS. * O.K. Cooperative Association and Mercantile, Kiowa, KS. * Two Rivers Consumer Cooperative Association, Arkansas City, KS. * Valley Coop Inc., Winfield, KS. CGM now serves as the grain division for these 10 cooperatives handling all grain merchandising, logistics, and accounting under one federal license. CGM anticipates that nearly 40 million bushels of grain will be markted each year through the alliance.
