Union Iron Works (UIW), the oldest manufacturer in Decatur, IL is growing exponentially and is looking for talented employees to fill the following key position:

Lean Production Manager

Plans, develops, directs, trains and oversees plant operations and staff.

Uses Lean Manufacturing methods to coordinate production activities to ensure maximum efficiency and effectiveness. Coordinates; through subordinate shop supervisors, outside contractors and/or other support services, the completion of production, major repairs, modifications or replacements of equipment and/or systems.

• The equivalent of a Bachelor’s degree in industrial technologies or related degree required.

• 5-7 years progressive leadership experience required with at least 3 of those years leading plant operations.

• 4 to 5 years of grain handling experience preferred.

• Experience with LEAN, Blackbelt or IDEAL Management preferred.

• Valid state driver’s license required.
