dbcSMARTsoftware Inc. Upgrades Software: Now Compliant With New EPA RIN Requirement

Date Posted: August 27, 2007

dbcSMARTsoftware, inc. introduced August 28 the integration of the EPA’s new RIN reporting and recordkeeping requirement into their enterprise software suite, dbcSMARTsoft®.

The Environmental Protection Agency (E.P.A.) has announced a Renewable Fuel Standard, which requires that biofuel producers/importers create Renewable Identification Numbers (RINs) for every gallon of renewable fuel produced or imported.

The standard goes into effect September 1, 2007.

dbc has developed additional functionality into their dbcSMARTsoft modules to allow for efficient electronic reporting to the EPA for RIN’s purchased, sold or retired.

The dbcSMARTsoft RIN design is totally integrated with other system modules, such as Purchase Orders; Sales Order Processing, and Sales Settlements.

A new and unique feature permits RIN transactions to be controlled or entered completely standalone from the dbcSMARTsoft application suite.

Therefore, organizations which need to comply but cannot have software changes made to their legacy ERP applications can acquire dbcSMARTsoft for the sole purpose of managing RIN’s.
