Polyurethane Liner Reduces Material Sticking

For more than 50 years, Tandem Products has served the grain industry with its Rhino Hyde® line of polyurethane wear products.

In 2015, the company introduced Rhino Slyde, a new abrasion resistant product designed to reduce or eliminate material sticking and flow issues in spouts, chutes, hoppers, etc.

“Rhino Slyde is made from polyurethane and has a lower coefficient of friction compared to similar products made from ultra high molecular weight (UHMW) polyethylene, says Territory Sales Manager Joe Ademino.

“Designed for use in low-impact and high-friction areas, Rhino Slyde has a smooth, slippery surface, and excellent wear properties,” he adds.

Less Expansion and Contraction

“Long-lasting polyurethane has less expansion and contraction than UHMW, and it works well in damp or humid environments and retains material integrity up to 225 F,” explains Ademino. “Rhino Slyde is sold in 4-foot-x-8-foot sheets and is also available in custom sizes. It’s very easy to cut, drill and bolt into place for easy installation.”
