The presentation by Rich Chmielewski, Biofuels Marketing Manager for Siemens, includes a summary of the need for power monitoring. It discusses load management, cost allocations and duration reporting applications to promote understanding and energy consumption optimization.

The presentation also includes a series of real world applications that discuss:

  • Application optimization and asset management strategies for utilities, pumps, heat exchangers, centrifuges, compressors, motors and cooling towers.

Bio:
Rich Chmielewski is the Biofuels Marketing Manager for Siemens and is based in the company’s U.S. process automation headquarters in Spring House, PA.

Siemens is a worldwide engineering technology company with installations in more than 400 biofuels plants.

The company is a process automation and instrumentation leader as well as on the leading edge of integrated energy applications including co-generation, gasification, power distribution, protection, management and control.

Siemens has also invested in biofuels industry research with partnerships at the National Corn-To-Ethanol Research Center, at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville and the USDA Agricultural Research Services, Wyndmoor, Penn., contributing to its pyrolysis research.

Chmielewski earned a degree in chemical engineering from Lafayette College, Easton, PA and a MBA in corporate finance from Georgia State University.
