Fargo, ND - Dec. 17, 2019 - The Northern Crops Institute (NCI), in conjunction with the North Dakota Grain Dealers Association (NDGDA), South Dakota Grain & Feed Association (SDGFA) and Minnesota Grain & Feed Association (MGFA) are hosting 24 participants from across the mid-west for its Grain Industry Emerging Leader Program.

The two-and-a-half day program runs from today through December 19th, beginning at the NDSU Barry Hall Commodity Trading Room and ending at the Northern Crops Institute.

The program is offering a variety of perspectives on the grain trading industry from renowned speakers.

Participants will learn about the transportation and logistics of grain merchandisers, industry perspective of grain buying, contracting strategies, and futures trading mechanics.

Participants will benefit from this program through activities such as:

  • Hands on experience in the NDSU Commodity Trading Room
  • Interactive lectures on a variety of topics within the grain trading industry
  • Learning from industry professionals about the various aspects that are involved in the grain trading industry
