Plains Grains Inc. Aug. 21 HRW Report: With Good Weather, Pacific Northwest Close to Harvest Finish

Provided the weather remains favorable in the Pacific Northwest for the next week, the U.S. hard red winter wheat harvest is expected to wrap up, according to the Aug. 21 Plains Grains Inc. Harvest Summary of HRW report.

Remaining states are more than 70 percent complete, and, with limited exceptions, yields across the board doing well in Montana (71% complete), Oregon (95%), Idaho (78%), and Washington (77%).

Wyoming joined Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, Colorado, Nebraska, and South Dakota in finishing harvest.

With 367 individual samples in various testing stages, overall test weight is 61.5 lb/bu, slightly above last year's average.
