River Valley Cooperative, Davenport, IA Updates Derecho Impact on Facilities

Davenport, IA — River Valley Cooperative lost just under 2 million bushels of grain bin storage space at three locations during the derecho storm that brought straight-line winds reaching 140 mph through Iowa on Aug. 10.

In an update letter for to coop members on Aug 31, River Valley said its biggest challenge will be handling soybeans due to the damage at the three facilities in Martelle, Stanwood, and Clarence.
