Crop Watch Report (Sept. 22): Kansas Cornfield on Par; Iowa Soybeans Rated Slightly Down

Fort Collins, CO — With two of the 16 U.S. Crop Watch fields harvested last week, Kansas reported Monday corn results as expected, but Iowa soybeans cut Saturday were slightly underperforming predictions, according to a Reuters report.

Producers said that harvest activity has been on the lighter side and will likely ramp up in the coming days. Warm and dry weather across most of the Corn Belt this week will aid in the effort.

Crop Watch 2020 follows one corn and one soybean field in eight U.S. Corn Belt states, and weekly updates will continue through harvest.

The following are the states and counties of the Crop Watch corn and soybean fields: Griggs, North Dakota; Freeborn, Minnesota; Burt, Nebraska; Rice, Kansas; Cedar, Iowa; Crawford, Illinois; Boone, Indiana; Fairfield, Ohio.
