Ethanol Stocks Decline, Says the U.S. Energy Information Administration

Ending stocks of fuel ethanol declined nearly 1.5% in the United States last week, according to data released by the U.S. Energy Information Administration on Wednesday, Oct 21.

The numbers suggest that a production trough that began in July is not over.

Production averaged 937,000 barrels per day for the week ending Oct. 9, up from 923,000 barrels per day the preceding week.

Weekly U.S. ethanol ending stocks fell to 19.721 million barrels for the week ending Oct. 16, down from 20.008 million barrels for the previous week.
