The condition of winter wheat improved for the week ending Nov. 29 compared to the previous week, with 46% reported to be in good or excellent condition in 18 selected states compared to 43%.
Last year's crop was rated 52% good/excellent at this point in 2019.
According to the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Crop Progress Report, 92% of winter wheat planted had emerged.
States with below-average winter wheat were Kansas, Nebraska, Oregon and Texas.
