U.S. Energy Information Administration: Ethanol Production, Ending Stocks Increase

Production of fuel ethanol rose 4.5% last week, increasing ending stocks in the United States by a smaller percentage, according to data released by the U.S. Energy Information Administration on Wednesday, Dec. 30.

Production averaged 976,000 barrels per day for the week ending Dec. 25 compared to 934,000 barrels per day the preceding week.

Weekly U.S. ethanol ending stocks grew about 1.4% to 23.504 million barrels last week, up from 23.169 million barrels for the week before.
