U.S. Energy Information Administration: Ethanol Production, Ending Stocks Stay About the Same

Production of fuel ethanol was virtually unchanged last week, causing ending stocks to decline slightly in the United States, according to data released by the U.S. Energy Information Administration on Wednesday, Dec. 30.

Production averaged 935,000 barrels per day for the week ending Jan. 1 compared to 934,000 barrels per day the preceding week.

Weekly U.S. ethanol ending stocks shrank about 1% to 23.284 million barrels last week, down from 23.504 million barrels for the week before.
