U.S. Energy Information Administration: Ethanol Production Falls, Ending Stocks Decrease as Well

Production of fuel ethanol decreased by 28% and ending stocks also declined in the United States, according to data released by the U.S. Energy Information Administration on Wednesday, Feb. 24.

Production averaged 658,000 barrels per day for the week ending Feb. 19, down from 911,000 per day the preceding week.

Weekly U.S. ethanol ending stocks were 6% lower, falling to 22.785 million barrels last week from 24.297million barrels for the week before.
