Springfield, OH — Sweet Manufacturing Company is pleased to announce the appointment of its new Plant Manager, Zach Whitford.
Whitford will be responsible for all areas of production in the company’s Springfield, OH plant.
He will also be in charge of increasing operational efficiency and ensuring that all products meet the firm’s strict “Quality Line” standards.
Whitford is a familiar face at Sweet Manufacturing, having been employed there since 2007.
He started at Sweet as a general laborer building intermediate assemblies.
Shortly afterward, he was moved to fabrication to satisfy his desire to expand his knowledge.
Whitford's experience and expertise continued to grow, as he eventually became the team leader for the welding department.
In 2017, he assumed a new role as Manufacturing Coordinator, responsible for product flow within the facility.
A year later, Whitford was promoted to Manufacturing Foreman, assisting the Plant Manager with all of his duties.
“Zach’s strong background and hands-on experience make him a valuable asset that can help improve many processes here at Sweet Manufacturing,” says Dwayne Gundolf, Vice President of Manufacturing.
