U.S. Energy Information Administration (July 21): Production Dips, Ending Stocks Jump

Production of fuel ethanol in the United States went again last week but this time let ending stocks reach a new peak over 22 million barrels after staying above 21 million barrels for about a month, according to data released by the U.S. Energy Information Administration on Wednesday, July 21.

Production remained above 1 million barrels per day for the 10th consecutive week, decreasing for the week ending July 16 to an average of 1,028,000 barrels per day from 1,041,000 barrels per day the previous week.

This represents a decline of about 1% from week-to-week.

Meanwhile weekly U.S. ethanol ending stocks climbed to 22.518 million barrels last week — representing an jump of 6.5% from 21.149 million barrels the week before.
