U.S. Energy Information Administration (Dec. 1): Ethanol Production Drops But Ending Stocks Keep Rising

Production of fuel ethanol in the United States stayed above 1 million barrels for the eighth consecutive week but went down from the week before, according to data released by the U.S. Energy Information Administration on Wednesday, Dec. 1.

Production averaged 1,035,000 barrels per day for the week ending Nov. 26 compared to 1,079,000 barrels per day the previous week.

This represents a decrease of 4%

Meanwhile, weekly U.S. ethanol ending stocks increased, rising to 20.301 million barrels from 20.164 million barrels week-to-week.

This represents an increase of less than 1%.
