U.S. Energy Information Administration (Dec. 8): Ethanol Production, Ending Stocks Both on Upswing

Production of fuel ethanol in the United States stayed above 1 million barrels for the ninth consecutive week and increased 5% over the week before, according to data released by the U.S. Energy Information Administration on Wednesday, Dec. 8.

Production averaged 1,090,000 barrels per day for the week ending Dec. 3 compared to 1,035,000 barrels per day the previous week.

Weekly ending stocks also rose, meanwhile, going up to 20.464 million barrels from 20.301 million barrels week-to-week.

This represents an increase of less than 1%.
