Dustin Paloranta Purchases Carver Company

Carver Company, Brooklyn Park, MN, a marketer of grain management systems and hazard monitoring systems, has been purchased by Dustin Paloranta, former vice president of EXTRON AgTECT, he announced on Feb. 1.

Carver, founded in 1992 by Glee Persson, markets replacement temperature cables, hazard monitoring equipment, aeration controls, and continuous weighing systems to the grain handling industry.

Persson started working at a grain elevator in 1973. In 1981, he joined his family when it formed Pertech, where he worked until starting Carver with his wife, Michelle, in 1992.

“Glee, who has been my mentor over the years, had been thinking about retirement, so this seemed like an excellent time to purchase the company,” said Paloranta, who has been in the grain industry for 14 years.

Carver serves as a manufacturer’s rep for Rolfes@Boone, EXTRON AgTECT, and Compu-Watt, among other manufacturers.

Paloranta said no changes are planned in operations at Carver Company (612-418-8610), only to continue providing quality solutions and outstanding support.

In the future, he added, he may look into such services as maintenance, repair, testing, and installation.
