U.S. Energy Information Administration (4/20): Ethanol Production, Stocks Keep Declining

Daily production of fuel ethanol stayed below 1 million barrels for the second consecutive week, according to data released today by the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA).

Production averaged 947,000 barrels per day for the week ending April 15 compared to 995,000 barrels per day the week before.

The change, the fourth decrease in as many weeks, represents a decline of nearly 5%.

Weekly ending stocks also continued a downward trend, dropping to 24.342 million barrels from 24.803 million barrels week-to-week.

This represents a decrease of nearly 2%.
