Daily production of fuel ethanol rebounded but stayed below 1 million barrels for the third consecutive week, according to data released today by the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA).
Production averaged 963,000 barrels per day for the week ending April 22 compared to 947,000 barrels per day the week before.
The change represents an increase of nearly 2%.
By contrast, weekly ending stocks continued a downward trend, dropping to 23.965 million barrels from 24.342 million barrels week-to-week.
This represents a decrease of more than 1%.
