Summer crop conditions this week slipped below that of 2021 crops, especially for corn.
According to today's Crop Progress Report by the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), corn in 18 selected states was rated 58% good or excellent compared to 61% the previous week and 64% the previous year.
Soybean quality did the same, going from 60% to 59% good/excellent week-to-week and year-to-year.
Spring wheat in six selected staters, meanwhile, was rated 64% good/excellent compared to 70% the week before.
