Conditions for many crops remained steady, according to today's Crop Progress Report by the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA).

In 18 selected states, this included corn (rated 51% good compared to 42% the week before) and soybeans (50% vs. 46%).

Among top-producing states, Wisconsin has the best quality with 56% corn rated good and 56% rated good soybeans.

North Carolina's soybeans were also rated at 57% good past week.

As for spring wheatin six selected states, the rating improved from 50% good/excellent to 94% week-to-week.

Sorghum conditions, meanwhile, remained steadily low, going from 19% good to 20% in six selected states.
