Scoular Idaho Facility to be Completed in Spring 2024

Expansion of Scoular's Idaho feed blending facility is taking shape. The $20 million expansion in Jerome, announced earlier this year, is on track for completion in spring 2024. We will be better able to serve the growing and changing needs of dairy and beef producers through the expansion.

The expansion adds two key capabilities:

• A steamflaking process, which processes corn into flakes and makes the feed more digestible for cattle. The corn is steamed, heated, then pressed into a flake.
• A pellet mill to make feed pellets. Pellets are easy to transfer, handle and proportion for optimal nutrition. Feed pellets typically are used for feeding calves and beef cattle.
