Grain and Feed Association of Illinois Announces New Leadership Team

The Grain and Feed Association of Illinois (GFAI) is pleased to introduce its newly appointed officers and directors following the Annual Business Meeting held at the 131st Annual Convention and Trade Show in St. Louis, MO on Feb. 19, 2024.

Leading the association is Doug Childers, Vice President/Easter/Western Grain, ADM, Decatur, IL.

Former President Eric Wuthrich, Farmers Grain Company of Roseville, Roseville, IL assumes the role of Chairman of the Executive Committee as well as Secretary.

The organization welcomes Cory Winstead, FS Grain, Morris, IL, as the new North-Area Director, and Jay Day, Consolidated Grain and Barge Co., Cahokia, IL, as the new South-Area Director.

Re-elected area directors include Joseph Logsdon, Tremont Co-Op Grain, Tremont, IL; Todd McTaggert, Evergreen FS Inc., Bloomington, IL; and Jim Cronin, Leland Farmers Company, Leland, IL.

With the conclusion of the Annual Business Meeting, the GFAI Board elected members to the Executive Committee. Alongside Doug Childers as President and Eric Wuthrich as Chairman, the Executive Committee comprises Mark Heil, Prairie Central Co-Op, Chenoa, IL, as First Vice President, and Spencer Janssen, Litchfield Farmers Grain & Livestock Co., Litchfield, IL, as Second Vice President.

Eric Wuthrich will serve as Secretary in addition to his role as Chairman.

Jeffrey Adkisson of GFAI will continue as Executive Vice President & Treasurer, respectively.

Doug Childers expresses his honor in leading an organization that represents over 90% of commercial grain storage in Illinois.

"It's an honor to serve as President of an organization committed to advancing the grain handling and feed industries in Illinois," said Childers.

"I hope to be a strong voice as we collaborate with others to address challenges and propel the industry forward."
