Stand Up For Grain Safety Week

The National Grain and Feed Association (NGFA) and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), in partnership with the Grain Elevator and Processing Society (GEAPS) and the Grain Handling Safety Council, will host the Stand Up for Grain Safety Week April 4-8, 2022 to help raise awareness about grain handling and storage hazards, provide education and training, and convey best safety practices.

The kickoff event will be held April 4 with a combination of virtual and live activities at the University of Nebraska Ag Extension Center near Lincoln, NE.

Topics for the Stand Up For Grain Safety Week include:

• Bin site hazards.

• Electrical safety.

• Heat stress.

• Personal protective equipment.

• Grain movement operations – slips, trips, and falls.
